Mylee Zschech is the founder of Little Big Dreamers. She is a Child Sleep and Behavior Consultant and Lactation counselor helping families transition through the early years. As a Talli Affiliate, we wanted to learn more about Mylee and share some of her wonderful advice with our audience!

What is one piece of advice you received that was helpful as a new parent?

“That there is always an answer for everything. All you need to do is ask.”

This is true for any part of parenting – whether it be about their sleep, feeding, health etc.  there are so many different people ready and willing to provide help and support, so don’t be afraid to ask for it.

What is one piece of advice you would give to parents currently expecting their first baby?

Take the time to do some research before having your baby about big things like sleep and feeding, so you feel like you have some knowledge as you greet your baby.  You can follow experts on Facebook or Instagram or buy some books and do some reading.  It can often be so much harder to arm yourself with knowledge when you are busy taking care of your baby – there are only so many hours of the day.  If you do some research beforehand, you’ll go into parenting feeling a little more confident and also know where to find any information should you need it.  Then don’t be afraid to ask for help when you struggle. You don’t have to struggle alone.

What must-have baby item would you recommend to new parents?

A sound machine! They help calm and soothe a newborn and block out outside noises during naps and overnight sleep. They are truly I game changer! I particularly like the yogasleep ones and use them in my home.

What drew you to partnering with Talli?

I found keeping records of my babies feeds, diaper changes and sleep so incredibly important and helpful and wish Talli was around back then.
